Royal Rangers
Royal Rangers is a scouting-based ministry to boys, with outposts throughout the United States and in over 65 nations around the world. Trinity Assembly has sponsored Royal Rangers Outpost 5 since the 1970s. Royal Rangers is open to all boys in the community.
Dedicated trained leaders, called commanders, provide boys the necessary direction during a weekly outpost meeting. Typical meetings start together with all boys, then break up into age groups for a nightly feature, advancement time, Bible Study, and close with a devotional and prayer. Outdoor activities are provided throughout the year for each age group, with day trips for the Ranger Kids and tremendous camping events (including the annual Pow-Wow and Maine Yukon Days, with hundreds of other boys from Maine, NH and Vermont) for the older boys.
Royal Rangers meet every Sunday night from 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Ranger Kids
Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade
Ranger Kids includes a challenging and fun advancement system encouraging boys through indoor and outdoor activities and games. The weekly lessons and objectives help to reinforce godly principles in their daily lives, and they will have opportunities to achieve many advancement awards that can be placed on an awards vest and worn each week as part of the official Royal Rangers uniform. Day trips (parents are invited) are offered to NH attractions and planned district field days.
Discovery Rangers
Third, fourth, and fifth grade
Discovery Rangers features an exciting premier advancement system in which boys will learn through camping and non-camping activities. An emphasis is placed on learning at their own pace in a merit-based curriculum. Opportunities are offered to develop leadership skills through the patrol system, Junior Leadership Training, and Security/Color Guard camp. Activities include overnight camping (Trinity has land here in Derry), canoe trips, biking, day hikes (recent trips include Mt. Monadnock and Mt. Chocorua) and the annual Pow-Wow.
Adventure Rangers
Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade
Adventure Rangers continue with more challenging advancements emphasizing skill development, and boys can earn and Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals with national recognition. Boys participate in more challenging outdoor activities, such as rock climbing, overnight backpacking in the White Mountains, overnight canoeing and winter camping. Junior Leadership Training, Security/Color Guard camp, the 18'th century-themed Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship (FCF) are offered.
Expedition Rangers
Ninth through twelfth grade
Expedition Rangers currently meet with the Adventure Rangers. This age group allows boys to continue on the adventure trail, develop leadership potential and stay on course for the Gold Medal of Achievement—the highest award a boy can earn, which is the equivalent of the Boy Scouts Eagle Scout Award. Young men are further challenged by advanced camping, hiking, backpacking, and develop leadership skills through Advanced Training Camp, Security/Color Guard, FCF, and ministry opportunities.
Royal Rangers is an activity-based outdoor program seeking to develop the total boy for Christ according to Christ's example (Luke 2:52). Royal Rangers provides boys and young men the opportunity to discover and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, while learning teamwork, leadership, and a variety of outdoor skills. An individual's progress may be represented by his progress along a structured advancement program where recognition is given for his progress toward each advancement level.
Come be a part of this exciting program as we work together to reach men and boys for Christ through the ministry of Royal Rangers!
